In today’s video we are exploring one of the first malls ever built. The Northland Center mall opened on March 22nd, 1954. After multiple closings of major anchor stores such as , JC Penny’s , Macy’s and Target, the mall fell very quickly. After the death of a man inside the mall the city quickly purchased the property with plans of demolition set for late 2019. Today we explore what remains.
